The 8A version of the Digital BEC was especially designed for the use of high-performance digital servos that have a high current consumption. For short periods, the voltage regulator supplies currents of up to 15A. This means that the RC system can be supplied from the model's drive battery, eliminating the need for an additional receiver battery.

In contrast to conventional regulators with BEC circuitry, the Digital BEC 8A voltage regulator can deliver much higher currents and guarantee a reliable power supply. Especially in the case of servos with high current consumption and drive batteries with high voltages, the previous BEC circuits are quickly overloaded. The input voltage may be between 6.0V and 12.6V (2-3 cells LiPo)./p>

The regulator has overload and temperature protection. The efficiency of the voltage regulator is approx. 92%. The detection of the number of cells is automatic, the charge status of the battery is displayed via four LEDs. The status of the regulator is indicated by an LED. For safe power supply of the receiver, the connection is made via two cables at the receiver. To avoid interference pulses, the servo cable is equipped with an interference suppression choke.
